The "Two Weeks Till Hereafter" Final Giveaway

I can't believe it's really almost here. I've had to suppress more than one urge to do a happy-dance (and that's just today). I think I need company in my happy-dancing, and what makes people happier than free stuff? As in, a HEREAFTER giveaway?!?

Since this is my final, pre-publication giveaway, I'm going to make it a big one. There will be FOUR (yes, four!) winners, who will receive very cool stuff, as follows:

1st prize: HEREAFTER hardcover pre-order, with 2-day shipping so you have it June 7th!
2nd prize: HEREAFTER hardcover pre-order, with standard shipping
3rd prize: HEREAFTER ARC and fun, book-related swag
4th prize: Fun, book-related swag (which you can show off to your non-winning friends, ha!)

So, all you have to do is tweet, FB comment, or blog comment the reason you deserve to win. Then I decide who gets to read Amelia's story early!

  1. I really want to win Hereafter because it's a ghost/human love story with a Romeo and Juliet feel to it. What's not to love about that :-)
    Can't wait to read it!

"Can there truly be love after death?"

What a great line! I want to know myself if this is true and I believe if we read this book well know the answer to this question!

  9. I'm not sure if I DESERVE to win but I'd definitely love to win because this is one of the books that is high on my wishlist and as of right now, it doesn't look like I'll be getting it anytime soon. Being broke sucks. :(

The reason I was so attracted to it is because I love anything having to do with ghosts. My dad was always a huge believer and ever since he passed away it seems that I've been picking up his interests, such as the paranormal, watching movies constantly, and even taking interest in history (I used to hate history!)

Thank you very much for hosting this giveaway.

  10. Congrats on your upcoming release! Your book looks really good. All the bloggers who have talked about it so far really recommend it.

Why I deserve to win? Because I am a (fairly) new YA book blogger and don't yet have any contacts to get (non-indie) young adult books to review on my site. If you sent me a copy I would definitely give it a review on my site and give you a big virtual hug through my IMM post!

  11. Sign me up Scotty!

Captain Kirk has sent me on a special mission to the Hereafter world to beam up the lovely maiden who disappears into the mist of the lake. Her lover hears her voice yet Captain Kirk is determined to unite these 2 despite the treachery of space that divides the 2: the realm of the universe is only a parallel universe where love knows no boundaries.

So beam me up Scotty and pray I morph with this delectable piece called Hereafter ;)

PS sending good karma to everyone here and thanks for making this giveaway for readers globally. My motto in life "Words are my PASSION... so READ IT!"

  15. Congrats on your Debut novel!! Just like everyone else, I really really want to read your book. This would be the first ever Paranormal story about ghosts that I'd read and I know it's great just by reading the premise. I'm also a sucker for Mystery books because I love it when they make me think and wonder of what will happen next. The mystery behind Amelia's death is intriguing and the curiosity in me needs to find an answer. And.. who doesn't like to read a book about a forbidden love?! I seriously need to know if Joshua and Amelia will find a way for their love. :)

Thanks so much for the fab giveaway and my fingers are tightly crossed!

[and no...I wont post a vid of me doing that :P] Thanks for such an amazing giveaway! The cover is GORGEOUS! I really think it kinda reminds me of the movie Hereafter...you know, with the dead and stuff?? Kinda weird how that turns out...any-hoo, thanks again so much for the contest, I've posted about it on my blog: http://iliveforreading.blogspot.com/2011/05/2-amazing-contests.html

No, I deserve to win because I've been wanting to read Hereafter ever since the cover was released and then I read the blurb and OMG! I had to have this book! Ghosts are amazing! They can go around unseen but when they are seen, their world and the people seeing the ghosts world goes topsy turvy. I LOVE reading about how the world somehow gets back on track, and I hope I deserve to see the journey Amelia, in all her ghostliness, takes. Hope I win!

  33. I wish I can have the opportunity to read Hereafter because I really think it will revive my love for YA novels! I've tried reading all the typical YA books being released every day, but my passion for reading is dying slowly because everything is just so alike. Hereafter seems different. The story's so unique and it might just be the one that can re-introduce me to the joys of reading.

Thank you so much for the giveaway.

  35. Hereafter sounds like a romance I could fall head over heels in love with on each page.

Thrilling and evocative, with moments of pure pleasure, Hereafter is a sensation you won't want to miss.

Enough said, right? I sure don't want to miss it and HELLO, my birthday is coming really soon! June 10th, perfect timing!

  37. I would like to win a copy because sometimes it's easy to forget that love exists in life, let alone after death. Sometimes we need that reminder to keep going, so that we don't give up. Sometimes that hope is kept alight within fiction...which I hope to find within your book, Hereafter.

  38. -I'm so happy that there's only a week left until this book comes out! :D

I am dying to read this book! Ever since I read the summary on Goodreads, it's been on my TBR list. "Can there truly be love after death?" That sentence from the summary automatically drew me in! It got the little engines in my brain turning, trying to figure out the answer to that question!

I've never read a book that deals with ghosts and the paranormal (sadly, but true) and I would love to!

Thanks for this amazing chance. Congrats on the publication! :D

  39. Hereafter--ghosts, love, and a mystery to solve. I love all those things. I believe I deserve to win because I have never, ever, owned a book like this. Sure, I've read books like Hereafter, but I don't own one. I know this sounds like a stupid reason, but I think that's why I deserve this book. Plus, if I win (which I hope I do), I can reread it over and over again, and try to get my sister to read it. She's finally getting into all the paranormal books I have.

    I tweeted: http://twitter.com/#!/Tayte5

  40. I deserve (I don't think deserve is the right word. How about, I really, really, really, really, REALLY want) to win Hereafter because: I really want to read it. And it comes out on my birthday. So if I win, it's like you're giving me a birthday present!

No, but really, the cover is gorgeous, the premise is fascinating, and from your website you seem like an interesting, competent writer. I. Want. Your. Book.

    Please. :]

  41. I don't know about deserving to win, but I would really love to win because Hereafter looks excellent and I would really like to have a copy. But, since my mom limits my allowance and I have no job, I wouldn't be able to get one for a long while. So winning one would make me very, very happy!

  42. In marriage, we promise our love “till death do us part”. But Hereafter, ironically, is about finding love even after death; and that really struck a chord within me. I think if I had the chance to read Hereafter, it would remind me about how beautiful love is, how love can happen to anyone, anytime, when we least expect it.

  43. I deserve to win because books are a passion and I have been looking for another great YA ghostly romance ever since I read *A Certain Slant of Light.* *Hereafter* sounds perfect. Also, as a reader advisor who works frequently with teens, I can't wait to share this one with my YAs (and adult YA book readers) at the library.

  44. Tara, this is not to say I want a free book, but to say that I've been blogging your book and linking the blogs to my facebook page since you first mentioned Hereafter. I know you will be enormously successful with Hereafter and the books that follow. You'll have a wonderful following. Mackenzie and I are so anxious to get a copy of your book. She's already ordered an e-copy, and when my kindle arrives tomorrow, I'll do the same. We both want autographed hard copies as well. My very best to you. http://www.kansasprairie.net/kansasprairieblog/?p=11369
